WHERE IS MALAGA AIRPORT LOCATED?

Every visitor agrees it’s a well connected place. The airport is just 8 kilometres from the city centre, in the Churriana district. More than 60 airlines connect Malaga every day with cities all around the world.
To reach the airport there are several options depending on your start point.
HOW TO REACH THE AIRPORT FROM MALAGA CENTRE:
The best way to reach the airport from the city centre is using the public transport: by train or bus. If you feel like being more autonomous, we can offer you a car hire service in Malaga airport.
The bus takes around 15 minutes to reach the airport. It costs 3€ (that you have to pay in cash upon getting in) and it goes to the airport every 30 minutes.
The train is the cheapest and most comfortable option. The ticket from Malaga Centro Alameda station to the airport costs 1,8€ and there is a train every 20 minutes from 05:42 am up to 23:30 pm. It takes 12 minutes to reach your destination.
One last option available 24/7 is to take a taxi, it’ll cost you around 20-30€
HOW TO REACH MALAGA AIRPORT FROM OTHER COSTA DEL SOL TOWNS:
If you are spending your holidays in other locations of the Costa del Sol like Fuengirola, Benalmadena or Torremolinos you won’t have any problem to reach the airport neither as all of them are also well connected. The best option, if you have not hired a car with a car hire company with service in Malaga Airport or you don’t know how to reach Malaga Airport is to use the public transport: bus or train.
From Fuengirola the train takes 35 minutes. From Benalmadena is only 18 minutes. From Torremolinos it will only take 10 minutes. You have again trains every 20 minutes so you can choose the one that best suits you.
For those who prefer the bus, it costs 3,6€ and takes 20 minutes from Torremolinos, and 50 minutes from Benalmadena. They are available every 1-2 hours depending on the season.
